Our Story
Stoni Drane is a 25 year old native of Roxbury in Boston, MA. She grew up in a single parent home and was raised by her mother and grandparents in the inner city of Boston. She moved to Miami, FL in 2016 to pursue her Bachelor of Arts degree at The University of Miami. She graduated class of 2020 with a major in Sociology and minors in Education & Africana Studies. She is currently an educator in Miami, teaching 6th and 7th grade history at Carol City Middle School. As a first generation college student, community activist, and educational scholar, she is very passionate about teaching and inspiring youth. She hopes that her business will help to show young people like her students the power of entrepreneurship and the importance of having financial freedom and building a legacy for themselves and their future families.
Demetrius Jackson is a 27 year old Miami Native and grew up in the neighborhood of Overtown. He attended the University of Miami where he earned his Bachelors in Political Science and his Masters in Public Administration. He was also a student athlete at The University of Miami where he had an outstanding career in football. Mr. Jackson has many years of experience working with young people throughout his community. He is the key executive of Men of Today Corp, a non profit program that is aimed at helping young boys from 1st grade to 12th grade attain success through education and entrepreneurship. Through B(l)ack in Business, he aims to show youth from the inner city that although they are faced with daily obstacles, that they have the self will to overcome their struggles, to reach their goals, and to find success.
